Spring Fling!
We had a successful Spring Fling! The 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Bands all performed their pieces for a packed house. At the end, we had every band student in Jackson City Schools perform two classics: Rock Point 5 and Hang On Sloopy! More than 350 band students were playing together in the Mega Band.
8th Grade Band - Spring Concert
The 8th Grade Band put on an outstanding performance at their Spring Concert, showcasing all of their hard work and growth throughout the year. They played with confidence, energy, and a maturity beyond their years, earning well-deserved praise from the audience. What made the evening even more special was that they shared the evening with all three high school bands, giving them the chance to not only perform for them but also to listen to their performances as well. It was a memorable night that highlighted the talent, dedication, and bright future of these young performers. They also shared the stage with trumpet professor from Ohio University, Dr. Maximillian McNutt, as he performed a trumpet concerto accompanied by beginning band entitled Frostfire.
